Job DescriptionJob Description

Surface GrinderSummary for the Surface Grinder:We are currently hiring Surface Grinders for multiple shifts in Troy, MI. Starting pay is up to $24/hr.Shift Times:
  • Current Day shift is Monday to Friday 6:00am - 4:30pm and Saturday (as required) 6:00-11:00am
  • Current Night shift is Monday to Thursday 4:00pm - 3:30am and Friday (as required) 4:00pm - 12:00am
Responsibilities (include but not limited to):
  • Perform surface grinding operations based on provided work instructions and blueprints
  • Perform grinding operations at required production rate
  • Able to hold tolerances of .0002”
  • Perform first piece and in-process inspections using required inspection equipment
  • Document manufactured measurements as required by work instructions
  • Maintain safe operations by following all safety procedures
  • Maintain equipment through regularly documented preventative maintenance charts
Required Skills:
  • Proficient understanding of blueprints including GD&T
  • Proficient with inspection equipment to check parts
  • Good communication skills
  • Must be a team player with great attitude
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and decision-making skills
  • Strong attention to detail
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with centerless grinding (DedTru)
  • Experience with jig grinding
  • Experience with ID grinding (Manual/CNC)
  • Experience with OD grinding (CNC)
  • Experience with OD/ID with grinding shoulders holding lengths between centers
