About Us:
Our client is a full-service tax and accounting firm located in Park City, Utah, seeking a strong Senior Tax Manager to lead their tax practice. This is a great opportunity for an experienced CPA who wants to be an integral part of their leadership team. They are looking for a full-time, fully committed individual, ready to grow with their firm and interested in becoming a partner in their practice.


Position Overview:
This position will have a significant amount of client interaction, requiring you to be personable, confident, and professional. You should possess a high level of organization, be a self-starter, and be able to work with minimal supervision. You must have a great attitude and be a model example to other staff and team members.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the preparation of business and personal tax returns from start to finish
  • Develop, motivate, and coach various team members
  • Utilize exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Maintain strong knowledge of current federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations
  • Provide comprehensive tax planning guidance and advice to clients
  • Research complex tax issues and develop tax planning strategies
  • Review tax returns prepared by others for accuracy and compliance


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or tax
  • Minimum of 5 years of tax preparation experience in a Public Accounting setting
  • Master’s in Taxation (preferred)
  • CPA certification (preferred)
  • Proficiency in Ultra Tax and Thomson Reuters Suite (preferred)
  • Strong proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently with minimal supervision
