Iowa Care Community is in search of a dependable Community Outreach Assistant interested in a temporary seasonal role designed to assist in a variety of outreach duties that include working in outreach capacity within the seven county sevice area. This position will support marketing and education activities and work with a variety of agency departments, clients, field staff and patients. This is a temporary position, with no benefits. It will be seasonal, with possible expected end date in mid- December. The schedule will be PRN (as needed) and flexible M-F between the hours of 8AM-5PM.

- Coordinate, participate, and provide educational materials to attendees of community events like health and art festivals.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program in public health, epidemiology, community health, or a related field.
- Strong interest in public health and a commitment to improving community health outcomes.
- Excellent research and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret and communicate data effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Prior experience in public health research, program planning, or community engagement is preferred but not required. Must possess the ability to maintain composure while under stress.
- Demonstrates a working knowledge of medical terms and basic administrative skills, including typing, organizing information, handling phone calls, car driver's license and adequate insurance as outlined in the personnel policies.
