Responsibilities:

  • Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments of patients to evaluate their specific prosthetic and orthotic needs. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to gather relevant medical information.

  • Patient Fitting: Precisely fit prosthetic and orthotic devices to patients, ensuring comfort, functionality, and alignment. Make necessary adjustments as needed.

  • Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on the proper use, maintenance, and care of their prosthetic and orthotic devices.

  • Documentation: Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, adhering to all relevant regulations and standards.

  • Collaboration: Collaborate with physicians, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a coordinated and holistic approach to patient care.

  • Continuous Learning: Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in prosthetics and orthotics through ongoing professional development and training.

Qualifications:

  • Certified Prosthetist Orthotist (CPO) certification required.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Prosthetics and Orthotics preferred.
  • Compassion and dedication to improving the lives of patients.
  • Detail-oriented and organized.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
