Location: Fresno, CA

Join our dynamic team at Nations Roof, a leader in commercial roofing solutions known for our commitment to quality and customer satisfaction. Our projects range in scope from large-scale new construction to complete tear-offs, re-roofing and renovations of existing building exteriors, and on-going roof maintenance, inspection, and repairs of all major commercial roof systems.


Responsibilities:

  • Estimate, compile bids and generate proposals accurately and are completed on time.
  • Make site visits to collect bidding information and/or from Plans/Specs for new/re-roof projects, when required.
  • Obtains quotes from vendors and subcontractors by specifying materials; identifying or/and vetting qualified subcontractors (when applicable); negotiating price.
  • Review/prepare proposed project bids in accordance with company bidding procedures with essential overall cost accuracy.
  • Review submittal packages, as required.
  • Participate in pre and post review project meetings, highlights, and low trends.
  • Complete project closeout documents, as required.
  • Mentor personnel that are involved in the estimating process.
  • Highly autonomous, involved in all aspects of the estimating process.
  • Cultivate customer relationships that will assist in winning profitable repeat business.
  • Maintain communication with project contacts throughout the entire project from start to finish.
  • Controlling and prioritizing multiple activities while handling multiple projects
  • Works closely with the permit expeditors, project managers, design team and consultants to monitor and expedite the development process.
  • Maintains relationships between the organization and outside consultants, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Responsible for maintaining and updating the project management/development tracking tool(s).
  • Receives, organizes, and maintains all construction documents.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Requirements:

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree
  • At least 5 years experience estimating complex commercial/industrial roof system projects
  • Advanced knowledge and understanding of commercial/industrial roofing system design and installation code compliance and manufacturers requirements for warranty.
  • Proficient with data base estimating digitizer computerize estimating software (Edge Software experience is a Plus)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Outlook, Power point, Word
  • Must be a motivated and a “self-starter” with professional appearance
  • Ability to give instructions and clearly explain problems or situation
  • Valid drivers license and insurable driving record
  • Must be team orientated
