Job Description

 

Turner & Townsend are seeking a Senior Construction Scheduler to manage Scheduling on development / expansion of a prominent technology client’s research and manufacturing facilities in Boise, Idaho.

The ideal candidate should have an excellent understanding of scheduling best practices, resource & cost loaded scheduling, overall construction project controls as well as the interpersonal skills to be able to work closely with the internal stakeholders of the project team on a daily basis.

The Senior Scheduler will take responsibility for end-to-end service delivery and to act as key, day to day client interface, ensuring that client objectives are met through the delivery of a value added service. To be successful in this role you must have great communication skills and be comfortable operating in a client-facing role.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Ability to travel to project sites and assess schedule progress.
  • Track progress of projects within the larger program. Identify potential delays, and work with stakeholders to ensure that projects remain within scope.
  • Understand and apply construction industry standard scheduling best practices.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meets quality and safety standards.
  • Develop and maintain high-level master schedules to manage projects through design, permitting, procurement, construction, and closeout phases.
  • Generate and update detailed construction schedules based on drawing reviews and input from project stakeholders.
  • Review contractor construction schedules for compliance with contract requirements, use of scheduling best practices, progress, and changes.
  • Coordinate schedule activities between various projects and stakeholders.
  • Prepare or review Time Impact Analyses and provide recommendations for impact mitigation.
Qualifications

 

  • College degree in Engineering, Building Construction, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field of study.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of scheduling experience in the construction industry, with experience in building construction preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency with Primavera (P6) and Microsoft Project scheduling software.
  • Technology savvy / proficient.
  • Advanced spreadsheet skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 Suite.
  • Experience with developing, maintaining, and reviewing project schedules, including experience with cost and resource loading.
  • Capable of reading and interpreting architectural drawings.
  • Experience being in the field during construction.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities with minimal guidance and supervision.
  • Strong communication skills and capacity to develop and maintain relationships with Project Managers, Owners, Contractors, and other project team members.
