Role and Responsibilities
This position serves as a delivery driver. In addition to driving this position they will be required to help with warehouse support as needed.
- Serves as a delivery driver for material and equipment when needed to job site locations such as Pittsburgh, Erie and State College.
- Loads and unloads material at the warehouse to deliver and unload at various jobsites.
- Assists with helping warehouse with unloading, moving and storage of materials for jobsite.
- Assist with building maintenance, lawn care etc.
- Serves as a multi-faceted person doing whatever tasks are required to be completed by the Warehouse Supervisor including both in the warehouse and on job site locations when needed.
- Previous experience driving delivery trucks required.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent; Must be able to communicate effectively with supervisors and co-workers; Strong attention to detail is mandatory; Trade School certification desired or equivalent on the job experience. CDL license a plus but not required.
Work Environment
This job operates in a field/warehouse environment. This position may be involved in construction or maintenance and will usually work a 40-hour, five-day week plus overtime when required. Working conditions can change dramatically depending on the time of year and the current workload of projects. Driving in inclement weather is possible. Exposure to contaminants and exposure to sounds and noise levels that are distracting or uncomfortable is a possibility.
Physical Demands
This is largely an active role. Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting 50+ pounds or more, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials; Requires repetitive movement; climbing ladders, scaffolds, or poles; standing, walking and running; using hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools or controls; and bending or twisting.
