Position Overview: Are you ready to shape the future of precision machining? Join us as a Machining Operations Inspector and play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and integrity of our products. As a key member of our team, you will inspect various machined parts, fabrications, and weldments using a variety of methods and tools, ensuring they meet our strict quality standards.

Job Summary: As a Machining Operations Inspector at PRL, you will be responsible for inspecting various machined parts, fabrications, and weldments using a variety of methods and tools in accordance with written procedures and specifications. Your attention to detail and commitment to excellence will ensure our products meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.

Job Qualifications:

- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Associates degree or vocational training in mechanical technology or trades area preferred.

- Experience: Two or more years of related work experience in industrial, mechanical, or machining product inspection preferred.

- Skills: Ability to use inspection and measuring tools, read blueprints, follow verbal and written instructions, and function independently with minimal supervision.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

- Inspect various machined parts, fabrications, and weldments using mechanical and electronic measuring tools and equipment, including Faro Arms, CMM’s, etc.

- Inspect castings, forgings, and weldments using Visual, Liquid Penetrant methods.

- Perform inspection in accordance with written procedures and specifications, blueprints, and drawings.

- Complete written and practical examinations for each testing method, and periodic physical exams as required.

- Operate forklifts, overhead cranes, jib cranes, hand trucks, pallet jacks, floor or hanging scales, and banding equipment, as needed.

- Verify information on documents to correspond with parts.

- Record information in accordance with instructions.

Physical and Mental Efforts: General: Extensive mobility required, some lifting. Position requires the ability to lift objects weighing more than 50 pounds occasionally; walk and stand for long durations; see objects closely and distinguish between contrasting colors; and hear normal sounds with some background noises. Position requires the ability to concentrate on fine detail with constant interruption and attend to tasks for 45 to 60 minutes at a time.
