The Shop Foreman will play a crucial role in overseeing daily shop operations, ensuring the smooth and efficient workflow of tasks. This position focuses on coordinating work activities, managing inventory, and developing processes and procedures to meet quality standards. Experience in telecommunications and familiarity with relevant tools is essential for this role.
- Coordinate and oversee daily shop operations to ensure timely and efficient completion of tasks.
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with company standards, safety regulations, and quality requirements.
- Develop, implement, and maintain shop processes and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with team members to allocate resources effectively and optimize workflow.
- Monitor and maintain shop equipment, tools, and supplies, ensuring they are in good working condition.
- Manage inventory levels, track usage, and coordinate orders for materials and supplies as needed.
- Assist in developing and implementing process improvements to enhance productivity and efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and project timelines.
- Record & track quantity of material & equipment handled or moved, using daily production sheets or work tickets. Develop and maintain tracking system.
- Attach identifying tags to containers or mark them with identifying information and any known hazards.
- Report any operational issues or challenges to the supervisor/manager and assist in resolving them Sort cargo before loading and after unloading. Inspect contents for shipping compliance and damage. Maintain item before returning it to storage or stock. Document all through the process.
