Hams Prairie Christian Church is seeking someone passionate about using one's gifts and talents to reach the youth. This role will involve teaching truth through God’s Word and developing relationships with the youth during Sunday service, small groups, and serving opportunities. The youth leader will work with the Lead Pastor creating and implementing a strategy and vision that draws in families to the Church through Youth Ministry. Being in a leadership role requires one to be a model of personal integrity, discipleship, and evangelism. Will work under the authority of the Lead Pastor and Elders. Will need to be a strong communicator and able to manage with attention to detail and administration skills. Hams Prairie Christian Church is looking for someone to bring fun, energy, and excitement to the growing Youth Ministry. This position will be a part-time position, with possibilities to expand into a larger role in the future.
Job Description:
· Display a Christ-like approach/lifestyle and pray regularly for young people.
· Overseeing and examining curriculum for all youth ministry to implement as a cohesive material that edifies the HPCC youth into faithful followers of Christ.
· Leading/encouraging the youth in their spiritual growth to become fully devoted followers of Christ.
· During Sunday services interact with the youth, provide support to Tiny Tots and Children’s Church, and serve in Sunday School where needed.
· Oversee, support, and grow HPCC youth ministries.
· Develop positive relationships with students and their parents through outreach.
· Recruit, train, and lead adult volunteers and student leaders.
· Quarterly report to the Elder and Deacon Boards.
Job Requirements:
· A clear calling to work with youth and a faithful follower of Jesus.
· A deep commitment to the truth of Scripture.
· Ability to build and lead ministry teams.
· Excellent people, administrative and communication skills.
· Agree with and sign HPCC’s Statement of Faith
· Complete and pass a background check.
