Job Summary:

Assist in the daily operations of the stockroom and buildings and grounds. The Delivery Associate plays an important role in providing the technical staff with the necessary equipment to get the job done, ultimately serving the customer.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Assist with loading and unloading stock from delivery trucks
  • Responsible for the delivery of parts to technical staff at job sites
  • Responsible for the delivery and pick up of company lifts to job sites
  • Provide strong customer service skills (professional, approachable, pleasant) to all company departments and external customers
  • Responsible for assisting with buildings and grounds duties
  • Responsible for permit drop-offs and pickups
  • Assist with plan/schematic drop-offs and pickups
  • Responsible for the mail, bank, and post office deliveries
  • Stock the office vending machines
  • Responsible for answering Stockroom phones
  • Must obey all speed limits and traffic signals
  • Adhere to the Alarm Detection Systems safety standards and procedures as outlined in the ADS Safety Manual
  • Conducts alarm responder calls to customer locations as dispatched by Central Station (Illinois only)
  • Effectively communicate with people in person, via telephone, or electronically
  • Responsible for coming in early or staying late as needed
  • Responsible for onsite duties as assigned
  • Must be punctual and adhere to attendance standards
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures
  • Other duties as assigned by management


Education/Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required

 

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to drive a truck with a trailer and snow plow equipment
  • Ability to use a tractor and lawn equipment
  • Ability to use all tools and equipment safely
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work
  • Ability to make decisions
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Ability to drive vehicle with standard shift
  • Ability to read and write English, bi-lingual abilities a plus
  • Strong customer service and phone skills


Licenses/Certifications:

  • Must be able to obtain a Permanent Employee Registration Card from the State of Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (Illinois employees only)
  • Maintain a driver’s license, maintain an insurable driving record, and be capable of driving on company assignments
