Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily school operations
  • Manage budget and ensure compliance with state and Goddard licensing requirements
  • Support recruitment, training, and supervision of staff
  • Handle employee and student file paperwork
  • Create and maintain faculty schedules
  • Review timecards and time off requests
  • Manage opening and closing procedures
  • Build strong relationships with families and staff
  • Maintain a positive and upbeat attitude in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications:
Professional Experience:
  • 5-7 years in childcare or education, including 3-4 years in a leadership role
  • Experience with licensing, monitoring, and reporting
  • Effective communication with staff, children, and parents
  • Ability to multitask, manage stress, remain flexible, and maintain professionalism and confidentiality
  • Accurate record-keeping skills and verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50+ pounds and move around the center for extended periods
Educational Requirements:
  • Bachelors Degree in Child Development or Early Childhood Education
    • AND a Gateways to Opportunity Level I Illinois Director Credential
    • OR 3 semester hours of college credit or 3 points of credential-approved training in administration, leadership, or management
