Total Organics Recycling, part of the St. Louis Composting family, offers an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of enriching soil through innovative organic recycling processes. We lead the way by recycling over 200 tons of organic waste weekly from local businesses, restaurants, schools, and venues. Our valet food waste recycling program collects and transports organic waste to specialized composting facilities, where it transforms into nutrient-rich compost that sustains sustainable agriculture practices. As a Class A Driver for Total Organic Recycling (a part of St. Louis Composting), you will become an integral part in our process of creating rich compost.

What You'll Do:

  • Transport organic material to various local site locations to continue the process of creating compost. .

  • Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections, promptly reporting any concerns or issues.

  • Operate tractor trailers, tandems, roll-offs, and/or dump trucks with precision and care.

  • Adhere to state and federal laws, as well as company policies and DOT regulations.

  • Communicate effectively with dispatch and site location.

  • Potential for occasional out-of-town work - always home on the weekends.

Important things to know:

  • Language Skills: Able to read and understand English.

  • CDL License: Possess a Class A CDL in good standing (all states except California) with a current DOT medical card.

  • Clean Driving Record: No DUIs, no major violations, and no more than a combo of 3 at-fault accidents or violations in the past 3 years.

  • Manual Transmission: Skilled in driving manual transmission trucks.

  • Safety Awareness: Prioritizes safety in all aspects of work.

  • Weekend Availability: Open to working Saturdays. Mostly available during the busy season mid-February to late June.

  • Physical Fitness: Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and standing/sitting for long periods.

As an important part of our hiring process, our candidates must go through a background check, in order to comply with the Department of Transportation requirements. Additionally, we do extensive drug testing including urine, breath alcohol, and invasive hair follicle testing.
