THE POSITION: 

Hyperbaric Technician EMT - Brighton – Full-time - Monday-Friday (no weekends)

A hyperbaric technician at The Oxford Center is expected to deliver the hyperbaric therapy safely and effectively while contributing to an environment that promotes the healing and wellbeing of patients. As The Oxford Center is a growing company, technician jobs will be developing over time and the job description may not encompass all roles that one will lead at the company.

Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Responsible for safe and effective operation of the hyperbaric chambers and related support systems and equipment
  • Perform hyperbaric chamber and ancillary equipment operations and system maintenance as required
  • Provide a caring environment at the facilities that encompasses a patient first philosophy
  • Accountable for the safe delivery of Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy to the hyperbaric patient throughout all aspects of care
  • Be able to help patients move from wheelchairs, stretcher, walker, etc. to gurney
  • Lifelong Learner: encompasses professional development through formal and informal education, professional certification, internal and external learning opportunities and recognizes the value of external professional organizations
  • Supports onboarding of new team members and precepts as applicable
  • Quality Achievement: includes adherence to clinical documentation guidelines, comprehension of outcomes data, engagement in performance improvement activities and commitment to standard work
  • Innovation: demonstrated by application of technologies that support patient care, actively seeking to implement evidence-based practice and new knowledge generated by hyperbaric medicine

Education and Experience: 

  • High School diploma or GED

  • Certified or licensed as an EMT
