Job Title: Electrician II, Lift Maintenance
Status: Full-Time, Year-Round, Hourly
Reporting To: Manager of Lift Maintenance
Job Description:
Powder Mountain’s Lift Maintenance Team is seeking a Journeyman Electrician that has a passion for lift maintenance and knack for problem solving. This position will install, maintain, and repair the lift electrical system. Experience working specifically in the ski industry is preferred.
Role Specific Responsibilities:
- Read blueprints and technical diagrams specific to newly installed lifts and established lifts at Powder Mountain resort.
- Inspect electrical components such as transformers, circuit breakers, and electrical components.
- Install, maintain, and repair or replace electrical controls, wiring, and lighting systems on ski lifts.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate testing devices.
- Follow National Electrical Code state and local building regulations.
- Circuit breaker corrective maintenance.
- Demonstrate leadership by training Apprentices to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring or equipment.
- Work at heights with 100% tie off for long durations, exceeding multiple hours.
Role Specific Qualifications:
- Current Journeyman electrician licensure in the state of Utah.
- Minimum of 1 year working with low to medium voltage control systems.
- Minimum 1 year experience in Lift Mechanics.
- 4-Wheel drive vehicle, or commitment to use UTA.
- Ability to work weekends, evenings, holidays, and on-call when requested.
- Clean driving record with ability to pass MVR background check.
- Demonstrable ability to use electrical and hand tools (e.g. wire strippers, voltmeter etc.) and electrical drawings and blueprints.
- Thorough knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations and guidelines.
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability.
- Excellent physical condition and flexibility to work long shifts and overnight.
