Chief Compliance & Risk Officer (CCRO)

Our firm, The Christian Wyatt Group, is working in confidence with a with a well-capitalized, independent $1B+ community bank outside of metro Atlanta on a Chief Compliance & Risk Officer (CCRO) role. In this role you will be a key member of the Executive Team and have responsibility for ensuring that a comprehensive Compliance Management System (CMS) and Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) program are in place and operating effectively. You will augment a solid framework that already exists and help further shape the vision and strategic direction of compliance and risk for the entire bank as well as its wholly owned mortgage subsidiary. You will do this by directing and leading a team of at least ten compliance professionals.

This key role will also be responsible for the oversight of education, training, tools, and resources that creates an environment of ethical and compliant behavior which ensures adequate internal controls are maintained and risks are mitigated to acceptable levels. This position also serves as the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) Officer Chair of the CRA Management Committee for the bank.

The ideal candidate will have been at a Senior Management Compliance or Risk Officer level within a Super Community or Smaller Regional bank or a sitting Chief Compliance or Chief Risk Officer at a community bank. You must be a subject matter expert when it comes to banking regulations and regulations governing residential mortgage origination and servicing. A CRCM or CERP certification is preferred but not a requirement.

This is an executive role that will have much collaboration with staff and executive leadership team so it’s imperative that this individual be in the Greensboro or Watkinsville, GA market daily. Our client will offer relocation assistance.
