We are looking for a confident and motivated, hard working Veterinary Assistant to join our team.

Sirius Veterinary Orthopedic Center employs 3 Full-Time Surgeons who operate 5 days a week. Our facility is equipped with 4 operating suites, Mindray WATO EX-35 anesthesia systems, multi-parameter monitoring equipment, a dedicated sterile processing area, and a separate post-operative recovery room. Imaging capabilities include Digital Radiography, Computed Tomography, and C-Arm.

Our Surgical Scrub team use their technical and critical thinking skills on a daily basis to ensure a positive outcome for all of our surgical patients. Our assistants are fully utilized both in and out of the operating room, and function with a great deal of autonomy and responsibility. Solid technical skills, sound judgement, and a strong foundation and interest in surgery are important. Ability to work on a team and thrive in a busy work environment is a must.

Summary of Duties: The Surgical Scrub Technician is to provide support to all departments by using all available resources, learned skills, and communication skills in order to provide great patient care. A surgical scrub technician is well-versed in the basic responsibilities of all departments. They work under the supervision of the surgeons during procedures. They are to ensure consistency and time management for surgical procedures, as well as implement safeguards to ensure proper sterility. The scrub technician ensures the necessary equipment and sterile environment are ready and available in a timely manner. This individual possesses the ability to remain versatile, and positive, and be a part of a strong team.

Schedule: This is a full time position working 36-40 hours/week. No weekends or major holidays. No on call duties.

Starting Pay: $19-$22/hr depending on relevant skill and experience.

You must have minimum of 1-2 years of veterinary experience in a clinic setting.
