Job Purpose:

The forklift driver will work to support Production, Quality Assurance, Shipping and Receiving, as needed by providing products such as Raw Materials or Packaging Materials to fulfill product requests for the purpose of completing scheduled product.


Job Functions:

  • Must Operate forklift in safe manner following Cal Osha best practices for PIT Drivers, in and outside of the facility. (Will be Certified by Stir Foods certified trainer)
  • Ensure forklift support is at an efficient, proactive, and safe level to support the business. (Line support, raw material, loading, staging, receiving)
  • Daily upkeep of warehouse and all work areas are clean.
  • Read orders, purchase orders, pack slips, and picking sheets to support the business needs.
  • Check specifications of materials loaded or unloaded against information contained in work orders.
  • Inform designated management or departments of items loaded or problems encountered while operating a forklift.
  • Examine freight to determine loading sequences.
  • Daily adhere to company GMP’s and SOP’s.
  • Perform work duties in a timely manner.
  • Make sure freezer requirements are pulled and completed weekly.
  • Inspect forklift equipment and report any issues or repairs needed daily.
  • Keep forklift equipment clean, and safely stored, always.
  • Inspect warehouse sites to determine the extent of maintenance or repairs needed. (Damaged racks, floor, pallets, bags, and report observations)
  • Daily fueling or charging of equipment to ensure the business is not slowed down due to poorly maintained operating equipment.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or assigned.


Skills:

  • Knowledge of ERP, WM, and inventory management software is preferred.
  • Ability to demonstrate proficient reading and comprehension skills in English.
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining safe driving a priority.
  • RF Scanning experience.
  • Team Player
  • Process Oriented

Experience:

Minimum of 3 years plus experience operating the stand-up reach.
