An essential part of any dry cleaning operation is organizing guest garments and delivering them correctly and on time. With specialized instruction and training you will obtain knowledge of utilizing top-of-the-line assembling and automatic bagging equipment to process orders of garments for our guests while ensuring that each garment is in a "ready to wear" state. In addition, you will deliver orders to another store location across town using a company van. This position requires a steady disposition, attention to detail, and a dependable work history. A valid drivers license is required for this position. This position serves as a great starting point for those looking to grow and learn more about the dry cleaning industry. Come work for us at Tide Cleaners, where we are changing dry cleaning for good


RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Learn the basic operations of scanning and assembling garments into proper orders, and accurately tracking and racking these orders.
  • Inspect each garment for stains, wrinkles, and other defects, and notify the proper presser/manager when issues are found.
  • Deliver orders to a drop store location in Lubbock in a safe and timely manner, and pickup garments from that location to deliver back to our plant location.
  • Ensure that all conveyor and bagging equipment is working properly and well maintained, and reload supplies for the equipment when needed.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • A valid drivers license and ability to operate a motor vehicle.
  • Ability to follow set procedures and work with little supervision.
  • Ability to read care labels, distinguish fabrics by touch, and distinguish colors and odors (i.e.,
  • chemicals/solvents).
  • Ability to work in hot/humid environment.
  • Ability to lift at least 50 lbs., bend and reach over head to place garments on rails, and grasp, handle, and manipulate objects of various size. Must be able to move from various work situations to distribute garments.
  • Ability to read and write English
  • Ability to recognize numbers and perform basic math skills.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training.
  • General housekeeping to support a benchmark store appearance.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to move from various work situations and stations throughout the plant quickly and easily.


Shift Schedule:

This is a full-time position, ranging from 35 - 40 hours per week. Shift starts as early as 6:30 a.m. and your shift ends when the job is done (typically between 1pm-3pm). Monday - Saturday availability is a requirement, and your scheduled hours will be determined based on our workload.
