Looking for people predominately with Preschool experience to float between the Preschool rooms
Responsibilities will include :
(1) Employing teaching methods and techniques proper for child–age group category served.
(2) Ensuring program schedules and activities are responsive to needs, interests, and abilities of each child.
(3) Role modeling communication and interaction skills for children, direct services personnel, parents, and support staff.
(4) Role modeling child guidance techniques for direct services personnel, parents and support staff.
- Interact frequently, affectionately, and respectfully with children.
- Engage and communicate with individual children during the activities and routines.
- Implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum which reflects observations and goals of individual children.
- Follow all safety and health rules while supervising all children at all times.
- Keep the environment and equipment safe, clean and attractive.
- Support organizational mission, philosophies, values, goals, and policies to parent/guardians and coworkers.
- Participate actively in the teaching team through communication,
Our ideal candidate will be dedicated, professional, motivated, energetic, and simply love children. The candidate must be willing to help with housekeeping duties which include basic cleaning.
Specific Duties
· Daily classroom activities
· Assist in planning, organizing, and implementing program activities when requested by Lead Teachers or the Center Director.
· Assist in preparation of educational materials when required.
· Assist in the maintenance of neat and organized classrooms.
· Assist in upkeep of all educational equipment and materials.
· Assist in supervision of all activities to ensure safety of each child when required.
Qualifications
Minimum: High School Diploma. Some experience working with children in a Childcare setting.
Preferred: A current CDA (Child Development Associate) or one-year Early Childhood certificate program. Experience working with children in child care setting.
Physical requirements: The essential physical requirements for this job include:
· Must be able to bend, stoop, reach, sit on the floor and rise from the floor without adult assistance.
· Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $15.00-$17.00 per hour
