Press Brake

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate press break machines and other equipment as required by daily activities requirements.
• Run forming operations using standard and custom punches.
• Use a CNC controller to input information into machine that pertain to the part being formed.
• Adjust ram and back gauge positions as needed
• Checks height, depth, and thickness using calipers, gauges, and other precision-measuring instruments.
• Perform complex programming using all features of the press brake.
• Work with customer tolerances to meet specifications.
• Meet customer specifications and delivery requirements.
• Perform spot inspections of parts.
• Perform general maintenance on press brakes as needed
• Complete and maintain paperwork.
• Configure bend allowances for sheet metal (stainless, aluminum & regular steel).
• Ensure machine is calibrated and cleaned.
• Read and interpret blueprints and drawings.

Operation Education, Experience, Skills, and Abilities:

• 3 years experience with setting up and operating Press Brake
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3 years experience in a metal manufacturing environment
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Ability to use measuring instruments (e. g. gauges, micrometers, calipers).
• Must be able to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to machining problems.
• Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to stand entire shift
• Requires routine lifting, bending, leaning, kneeling, etc.
