We are currently hiring for a validation engineering manager role at Pura, that will focus on leading a team to the best scenting experience for our customers through excellence in validation and testing. The Validation Engineering Manager is responsible for overseeing the validation engineering team to ensure that products and systems meet all necessary requirements before release. This role involves planning, coordinating, and executing validation strategies and procedures while leading a team of engineers.

What you’ll own:

In this high-impact role, you will: 

  • Leadership: Lead and manage a team of validation engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance evaluations.
    • Team disciplines include but is not limited to:
      • Electrical
      • Firmware
      • Mechanical
      • Compliance
  • Culture: Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment.
  • Team Management: Allocate resources efficiently to meet project deadlines.
  • Validation Strategy: Develop and implement validation plans, protocols, and procedures for new products, systems, and processes.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, quality, and manufacturing, to ensure comprehensive validation coverage.
  • Project Management: Plan validation activities ensuring that everything is completed within the timeline 
  • Communication: Ensure that communication channels stay open among all product development teams
  • Culture of refinement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the validation team to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in validation engineering, with at least 3-5 years in a managerial or leadership role.
  • Experience in leading product validation teams
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Professional certification in validation engineering (e.g., Certified Quality Engineer, Certified Process Validation Professional).
  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Familiarity with risk management tools and techniques.
