Program Information

The summer learning program is designed to address summer learning loss for low-income children living in urban communities and thereby enhance overall youth development, academic performance, and graduation rates.

Description:

Plan daily lessons; Facilitate daily instruction.

Essential Functions:

Manage student behavior; Establish a safe and accepting classroom environment conducive to learning; Adhere to applicable state content standards when implementing lessons.

The teacher must hold either an A.S. or higher, or be a college student pursuing a B.S. or higher in education or a related field. Teachers must have at least 1 year of experience working directly with children. Experience in one or all of the following: art, life skills, drama, dance, STEM and music.
