Plumber Apprentice

Job Summary:

The Plumber Apprentice will work under a licensed plumber to learn and assist with all tasks while earning a plumbing license.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Assisting with all plumbing duties, including repairs, maintenance, and other associated works as instructed by manager(s).
• Locating and marking positions for plumbing works such as pipe connection, fixtures in walls and floors, and passage holes.
• Testing and identifying pipe leaks with air and water pressure gauges.
• Reading blueprints and drawings to determine the layout of the water supply network, waste and drainage system, and plumbing systems.
• Transporting tools, equipment, and material to the job location as needed.
• Participates in periodic inventory and truck inspections.
• Assisting the plumber in adhering strictly to all safety and health protocols.
• Participates in all company safety training classes.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Broad and adequate knowledge of modifying, fixing, and assembling plumbing systems
• Reliability in installing pipe fixtures for water, heat, waste, and drainage systems
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Good mechanical skills to know what tools are right for the job

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma
• Field experience in plumbing and plumbing codes
• Must be actively enrolled in Apprentice school and follow state plumbing guidelines
