Challenging projects: As a Strategic Communications and Specialized Studies Officer, you will be instrumental in supporting the PEO LS's mission to streamline processes and accelerate capability delivery. Your responsibilities will include conducting in-depth analyses and developing communication strategies that align with the PEO LS Strategic Plan. This role involves direct engagement with senior leadership and requires a strategic mindset to drive initiatives that support the Marine Corps' operational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Communication: Develop and implement communication strategies that support the objectives of the PEO LS Strategic Plan, focusing on streamlining processes and accelerating capability delivery.
  • Specialized Studies and Analysis: Conduct detailed studies and provide analysis in support of various programs under the purview of PEO LS, functioning as a special action cell to address emerging challenges.
  • Program Management: Apply your extensive experience in managing large-scale families of systems and C2 systems, ensuring alignment with PEO LS objectives and enhancing the delivery of warfighting capabilities.
  • Leadership and Collaboration: Work closely with PEO LS leadership and stakeholders to facilitate the integration of strategic initiatives, providing guidance and insight to optimize outcomes.

Location: This position offers a hybrid work arrangement with a combination of on-site and remote work options. The employee should be located within a reasonable commuting distance to Quantico, VA.

Travel: Potential for government directed travel to other USMC installations.

You Have:

  • TS/SCI Security Clearance
  • *Bachelor's Degree in Strategic Studies, National Security, Business Administration, Public Administration, Strategic Communication, or other relevant field.
  • 15+ years of experience in leadership roles, strategic planning, and operational management.
  • A strategic mindset with the ability to communicate effectively at executive levels and lead complex initiatives.
  • Ability to be self-motivated, applying initiative and judgment to work independently as well as in a team environment

Nice to Have:

  • *Master's Degree in Strategic Studies, National Security, Business Administration, Public Administration, Strategic Communication, or other relevant field.
  • 20+ years of experience in leadership roles, strategic planning, and operational management.
  • Direct experience in Program Management of large-scale families of systems, particularly within the USMC.
  • Extensive knowledge of Command and Control (C2) systems, with USMC experience preferred.

*Experience may substitute for education requirements for this role.

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; DOD TS/SCI Level clearance is required.
