Job DescriptionJob DescriptionSalary:

The Video Producer will be generating ideas, building proposals, managing budgets, and tracking schedules for various types of video projects. They should have a solid foundational understanding of all aspects and departments of video production. Must excel at organizational and technical aspects of production including budgeting, scheduling, on-set equipment rentals, signal flow, data management, and postproduction workflow. Must have experience generating requests for proposals, managing projects, creating production timelines/workback schedules, and coordinating relevant stakeholders and departments from pre-production to post. We are seeking a candidate with a minimum of 4 years of experience in a digital marketing agency, production company (broadcast/webcast/live action), or entertainment company. This is a great fit for an experienced producer who is a smart, savvy, and self-directed problem solver, and someone who can learn quickly and execute efficiently. They should have sound judgement, be quick on their feet, and possess exceptional organization and communication skills. Prior experience with live video and/or livestreaming, creative storytelling, and video production is necessary.

Job Responsibilities

  • Own and facilitate the project management of all assigned projects — initial info-gathering, distilling and communicating client needs and goals to the creative team executing the work.
  • Create workback schedules, ensuring that all timelines, deliveries, and feedback stay on track.
  • Provide valuable experience that contributes to the success of the production team with all project-related needs from scope to final delivery
  • Self-manage, create, execute, and produce projects and video deliverables
  • Create and maintain all standard production documents (e.g. schedules, call sheets, tech books, talent look books)
  • Estimate, manage and track budgets of $25K to $1M+
  • Responsible for sourcing, tracking, and booking all freelance crew positions on set
  • Exercise discretion and good judgement in representing the company while regularly interfacing with clients, talent, and crew members regarding scheduling, invoicing, and payment issues
  • Manage project-specific duties including, but not limited to, segment producing, asset management, social media management, and script supervision
  • Responsible for supervising and providing direction to talent and crew on location
  • Ability to write, develop and produce highly compelling case studies and mini-doc style content
  • Collaborate with core production team to ensure all technical specs complement creative elements
  • Exercise writing skills and editorial judgment
  • Interact with clients directly and generate new business relationships
  • Pitch ideas effectively and turn them into proposal decks
  • Collaborate with client teams on segment planning, research, and scripting
  • Manage post-production process and workflow on a project by project basis
  • Manage client relationships, driving communication over email and during meetings from project inception through final delivery and billing
  • Coordinate and negotiate rates for production resources like talent, crew, equipment, locations, etc.
  • Effectively meet all deadlines by independently prioritizing tasks across multiple projects
  • Facilitate the execution and completion of deliverables — book resources, consolidate and communicate project feedback and updates, uphold project deadlines and deliveries
  • Complete and populate both internal and external-facing templates — ranging from scope of work documents to pitch decks and call sheets
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Excellent interpersonal skills combined with a strong sense of how to visually tell a compelling story
  • Experience producing creative storytelling packages in the field with a small crew
  • Self-starter who can work effectively under deadline pressure while coordinating multiple tasks
