Job Summary:

As a buyer, you will be expected to support and deal with all aspects of the supplier relationship including fluent communication, demand control, purchasing terms, achievement of annual cost savings targets and development of supplier/commodity strategies. Ideal candidates will strive to personally drive improvement to the Purchasing organization's processes and strategies.


Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Place purchase orders and ensure acknowledgment from suppliers.
  • Management of PO(s) to ensure accurate receipt dates and track supplier on-time delivery.
  • Support and review commodity contracts to meet customer requirements and to achieve supply objectives.
  • Support cross-functional teams in the pursuit of reduced costs through VA/VE techniques or other enablers.
  • Build strong value-added relationships with suppliers, internal plants, and cross-functional departments.
  • Develop and maintain a centralized database of spend by category.
  • Leverage spending across all businesses to optimize cost-effectiveness.
  • Rationalize the supply base, either through consolidation or outsourcing.
  • Build a thorough understanding of all businesses and their specific needs.
  • Integrate needs into total Aludec business plans for commodities/services.


Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related fields (Business Administration, Finance, Supply Chain Management, Engineering) preferred.
  • 1-3 years’ experience within the Purchasing function.
  • Knowledge of ERP and/or materials management software – Acumatica is a plus.
  • Demonstrated strong business acumen including the ability to understand the impact of sourcing. decisions on the overall business success.


This is an ONSITE role, remote work is not available.
