Position Summary:

The Credentialing Secretary work cooperatively with the all individuals in completion of clerical tasks related to medical staff management functions.  Assures tasks are completed in professional and competent manner, meets department deadlines.  Uses professional business office skills to assure accurate. business appropriate communications and documentation.  Performs data entry of applications for medical membership and/or clinical privileges; performs data entry of renewed licenses, insurance, DEA and other information related to medical staff credential files.  Completes verification process or review by CIDP or Department Chair and MEC.  Maintains up-to-date physician roster and distributes in accordance with departmental procedures.


Qualifications:

Prefer High School Graduate or Equivalent, with some additional college level courses.  Office Technology course medical office course work preferred.

 

Prefer One year work experience in medical office setting.

Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.

Proven office practice and procedure skills.

Communication and guest relations skills.
