Job Title: Part-Time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Schedule: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM
Location: Nowata, OK
Position Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to patient care and be able to work efficiently within a collaborative healthcare environment. As an LPN, you will provide essential nursing care, support, and education to patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or physician.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Care: Provide direct patient care including administering medications, performing wound care, and monitoring vital signs.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely patient records, including documenting patient progress and any changes in their condition.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and their families about their health conditions, treatment plans, and medication management.
- Communication: Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Clinical Support: Assist with diagnostic tests, prepare patients for procedures, and provide post-procedure care as needed.
- Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all healthcare regulations, protocols, and safety procedures to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Administrative Duties: Perform various administrative tasks such as scheduling, patient intake, and managing medical supplies.
Qualifications:
- Licensure: Valid and current LPN license in [State].
- Experience: Previous experience in a clinical setting preferred.
- Skills: Strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and the capacity to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Education: Completion of an accredited LPN program.
- Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and move patients, and to perform tasks that require physical stamina and strength.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform tasks that involve bending, stooping, and reaching.
