DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Assist pack-line on proper packing directions and instruct flow of packaged material to
scales
2. Inspect packages to ensure proper material, size, identification, packaging, sample if
required and weight
3. Weigh package and enter into AS 400 system, generate tag and document
4. Compare tag to sales order to ensure accuracy
5. Balance production following each order
6. Operate forklift and/or overhead crane to transport materials to and from storage areas
7. Perform routine inventory of tagging and packaging supplies
8. Evaluate scales daily for accuracy
9. Load, unload, transport and stack materials in accordance with established procedures
10. Maintain clean scale area
11. Communicate any non-compliance production or quality problems to supervisor and/or
shift lead
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
• Knowledge of and ability to comply with all safety rules and requirements
• Knowledge of and ability to comply with all Forklift and Crane training/certification
• Knowledge of basic computer functions and ability to accurately input data into AS 400
system
• Ability to inspect, weigh, document and identify material through the AS 400 System
• Ability to use tape measures, micrometers, and calipers
• Ability to follow all order instructions and properly document
• Ability to communicate effectively
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Ability to routinely bend and squat

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
A high school diploma or GED with at least 1 year of industrial or manufacturing experience is
preferred. Forklift and/or crane certification is required. Formal education and experience may
be substituted with training when competency in the position is demonstrated.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
This work is performed in a manufacturing setting with moderate to high levels of noise due to
machinery and equipment processes. The temperature of the facility will vary based on the
outside weather conditions. This position requires the use of personal protective equipment for
safety compliance and may include overtime as deemed necessary by management
