Job DescriptionJob DescriptionStaff-Up is seeking a Equipment Mechanic for a large construction material business in Dallas,Tx.
Pay: $22-26$ Hr.

Job description:This position requires the level of knowledge, skills, and tools necessary to diagnose and repair all makes of medium & heavy-duty equipment. Some duties include removing, cleaning, repairing, reinstalling, and adjusting vehicle components, including engine components, fuel systems, and the like. Other responsibilities of the position also include ensuring work orders are completed properly, selecting the appropriate course of action for repairs, and performing road calls and emergency services as dictated by customers.Duties and Responsibilities:Inspect and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems for machinery and equipmentInspect and repair forklifts, tractors, and trailersPerform all required maintenance inspections and safety checks as requiredHelp service customers with their equipmentTroubleshoot and submit repair bids to Service ManagerPerform required Preventive Maintenance (oil change, lube, filter changes, etc.)Submit all paperwork to Equipment Service Manager on a timely basisEffectively and consistently communicate with Equipment Service ManagerAssist in the training process of new employees· Perform other duties as required by the Equipment Service ManagerRequired Education & Experience:• Ability to read and understand schematics• Computer-assisted troubleshooting experience• Basic general computer skills· Basic mechanical and electrical working knowledge· Understand the mechanics of fabricating equipment (Preferred)· Basic, general computer skills· High School Diploma or GEDMinimum of two years of hands-on construction rental/equipment maintenanceRequires basic mechanical and electrical working knowledge.Must have the ability and capability to start and operate equipmentMust be able to lift 75 pounds, full use of arms to hands to use tools, must be able to climb up and off equipment and be able to see close as well as distantRequires a valid and current driver’s license
