Nutritionist

Job Summary:
The Community Health Nutritionist provides nutrition care and education to FHCW patients and provides extended support to the medical providers and clinical staff to care for patients with chronic health conditions.
The Community Health Nutritionist will work with patients providing individual and group visits focused on nutrition-based health outcomes, food selection and education. Work collaboratively with FHCW programs and community partners.
Educational Requirements:
Bachelor of Science in Nutrition required.
Experience Required:
One – three years of experience in nutrition education and counseling in a clinical setting preferred. Experience providing nutrition education as a volunteer, intern or undergraduate experience required. Demonstrated ability to implement public health interventions in a culturally competent way. Expertise in nutrition related to chronic health conditions required. Experience with behavior change theory and motivational interviewing when providing nutrition counseling is strongly preferred. Must have demonstrated ability to conduct group education.
Professional Licensure/Special Skills and Certification:
Licensed Nutritionist/ Licensed Dietitian
(LDN) required. Registered Dietitian (RD) preferred.
