Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWork in a fast paced lumber warehouse - carefully build/stage/load building material for customer orders

Essential Functions
  • Promptly greet walk-in customers
  • Proactively approach customers while in lumberyard
  • Help customers find products necessary to complete entire projects
  • Process customer transactions (orders, purchases, account payments and returns)
  • Research product inventory inquiries (in stocks, products on order, etc.)
  • Process special order requests as necessary
  • Stage order in correct area (delivery, will-call, paint, etc.)
  • Neatly put incoming stock in proper location
  • Clean up debris, stock empty bins and write off damaged inventory

Job Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Forklift certification or ability to be forklift certified is required
  • Ability to bend, stretch, reach, twist, squat, reach, climb a ladder and stand for extended periods of time
  • Exert muscle force repeatedly or continuously to lift, push, pull or carry objects
  • Basic computer skills
    Able to provide excellent customer service
  • Knowledge of building materials is a plus
  • Steel-toed boots and high-visibility uniform shirt
  • Punctuality and regular attendance are mandatory
  • Strict adherence to safety standards
  • Must work rain or shine
  • Ability to lift 50lbs
    *Previous cash handling, forklift, and customer experience preferred

(Starting Pay Rate = $20.70/hr)
