What You'll Do
The Superintendent will keep our operation on track. You are in charge of making sure each home assigned to you is completed on time, within budget, while keeping our quality standards. Along with managing your workload – you are critical in the task of keeping our customers happy.
You will:
- Manage/Oversee Assigned Jobs to Completion
- Follow entire build process (Pre-Release to Close, including management of any Spec homes)
- Schedule/Coordinate subcontractors and vendors to complete the building process from dig to completion and throughout warranty, as appropriate
- Verify sub-contractor completed work & follow-up, if needed
- Order/Request materials at appropriate times
- Maintain Accurate Production Software Information
- Complete daily logs on a timely basis (minimum of 3 per home, per week)
- Adhere to the building schedule and escalate concerns
- Take all required pictures and upload for storage
- Verify selections and ensure accurate completion
- Leverage the production systems and coordinate with Internal Operations team to ensure that customer selections are accurately applied to the jobsite.
- Provide Exceptional Customer Service
- Involve the customer, as appropriate, with items such as lot staking, dig, concrete layouts, deck/deck stairs
- Create & send weekly videos for all jobs with a customer
- Make a weekly phone call to customers, providing a progress update and asking if they have any questions
- Perform walks (electrical, trim, final etc.) with the customer, providing input/knowledge on questions
- Complete final Homeowner Orientation before closing
- Inspect jobsites and complete checklists to ensure quality construction and a safe environment
- Home punchout to include, but not limited to: install hardware, bath accessories, touch-ups, repairs, power washing of exterior, spray out basement floors, door adjustments, etc.
- Request assistance when field support is needed
- Complete final punch list
- Complete tasks such as gas bracket installation, soaking foundations, install 2” foam,
- Deliver documents/checks (permit, water meter, etc.)
- Maintain and keep spec homes cleaned
- Set up sprinklers and monitoring watering of lawns
- Haul and dump trailers from jobsite cleanup
- Snow removal, mowing, and landscaping (includes mulching or rock under decks along with filling in egress window wells with rock)
- Maintain clean jobsites – garbage pick-up, street cleaning, etc.
- Skid loader – after trained on operation, responsible for drilling and pouring post hole footings, cleaning up, re-backfilling foundations, backfilling
- Complete Office Related Tasks
- Submit credit card receipts weekly at a minimum
- Submit PO numbers weekly, at a minimum
- Populate automated checklists as required
- Complete Equipment Related Tasks
- Keep all tools and equipment in clean and running order and upkeep maintenance on them
- Maintain vehicle (clean, oil changes, etc.)
- Represent Field Operations Perspective
- Proactively communicate with Territory Field Manager on opportunities (ideas, issues, concerns, etc.)
- Maintain a positive attitude with sub-contractors, vendors, customers and coworkers.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues in a timely manner.
- Other duties as requested.
What You Need to Get the Job Done (Minimum Qualifications)
- Previous home building experience
- 1-2 years of previous superintendent experience is a plus

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be expected to work outside in all types of weather conditions; conditions include occasional extreme heat exposure due to natural climate. The noise level in each work environment will vary and could sporadically be loud.
