Electrician

Summary:  The Electrician provides electrical support for the safe operation of the plant through preventative/predictive maintenance, inspection, repair/overhaul and support of the plant operations.

Key duties:

• Adhere to all safe work policies, practices and procedures.
• Perform instrumentation repair and modification.
• Install and maintain all electrical assets.
• Troubleshoot electrical systems and correct malfunctions using blueprints and circuit diagrams. 
• Perform preventative electrical maintenance to plant equipment.
• Monitor and maintain the integrity of electrical and process control systems.
• Use computerized maintenance management systems for work order documentation and parts inventory.
• Train and mentor new employees on standard jobs and maintenance processes.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Degree in instrumentation/electrical.
• Demonstrated working knowledge of electrical code, instrumentation and control systems.
• Demonstrated ability to read and understand electrical prints and schematics.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Excellent communication skills
• Self-directed and able to excel in a team focused environment
• Electrician Journeyman’s license (5) or more years electrical maintenance experience in a heavy industrial setting may be considered in lieu of license).
