Job Summary
This position provides guidance within the startup of the customer-owned molds at Technimark facilities. This position provides the tooling engineering expertise to assure optimum outcome. Work is performed with a high degree of independence yet teamwork with cross-functional groups will be critical to assure success. Work performed will be subject to review by the Technical Manager.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
• Coordinate and oversee the fabrication and qualification of new tools.
• Maintain detailed progress reports (timelines) for the customer and for the Program Manager and Technical Manager.
• Make every effort to ensure tools are delivered to the customer on time.
• Work closely with the Quality Control Department and the customer to develop inspection methods and sampling plans to ensure that all products and processes conform to the customer requirements.
• Support Production processes, tools and ideas to prevent recurrent issues and repairs.
• Lead or Support existing production tooling design changes when needed.
• Create estimates and proposals for new and existing business by understanding our internal and external customers CTQ requirement.
• Work closely with customers and suppliers to develop specifications to ensure that all estimates conform to requirements.
• Analyze, understand and document all the risks associated with new products/processes.
• Perform Gap analysis on new drawings, models provided by the customer during initial development of tools in a timely manner.
• Develop a project timeline/schedule to be used during development for Program Manager.
• Facilitate expeditious and accurate processing of each estimate.
• Retain organized records and background information for all estimates to assure accuracy and consistency of estimates and proposals.
• Continually improve skills by taking appropriate training courses as necessary
• Work with Process Engineers to develop and create new EOA for new projects or production projects.
