Machine Operator

We are currently seeking Machine Operators to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating metal machines (hobbing, rolling, grinding) and ensuring the quality of our products.

Reports to: Manufacturing Manager

Schedule: 2nd shift 2:55pm to 11:05pm, 3rd shift 10:55pm to 7:05am

Responsibilities:

  • Operate metal machines efficiently and maintain quality standards.
  • Load and unload materials, adjust settings, and perform basic troubleshooting.
  • Ensure machine maintenance, cleanliness, and accurate production reporting.
  • Perform measurements for quality inspection and record data into the quality system.
  • Follow quality standards, escalate issues, and maintain safety protocols.
  • Follow internal quality procedures (IQI).
  • Collaborate with the team to achieve production goals and uphold housekeeping standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Skills Requirements:

  • 1-2 years’ experience in high-volume manufacturing.
  • Ability to read and comprehend work instructions.
  • Works well in a team environment through cooperation, collaboration, and communication.
  • Good organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic mechanical background, ability to read schematics, and understanding of the metric system.
  • Basic math skills and knowledge of measurement devices.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Commitment to attendance and punctuality.

Job Type: Full-time

Work Location: In person (Gainesville, GA)

Work Environment/Physical Demands: Exposure to manufacturing areas which require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, hearing protection and slip resistant safety toe shoes. Working with metal and metal machine processes. Requires standing, walking, bending, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, working with your hands, visual inspection of parts, and using equipment to move materials.
