CMM Programmer

2nd Shift CMM Technician: The CMM Technician is responsible for the measuring of all products to the customer specifications. They are also responsible for the calibration of all tooling. Fixtures and measuring devices. Work with Managers, engineers, and supervisors to plan and execute the most cost-effective method for producing quality parts.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

•Use CMM/Roamer Arm to inspect finished product

•Collect and analyzes data on company processes, products, and arranges the data in reports

•Investigates and diagnoses quality complaints or defective product, tracks down components and recommends corrective actions to improve performance

•Maintain and organize our internal gauge database

•Ensure dimensional accuracy and quality workmanship

•Maintain a safe, orderly, and clean work area

•Complete time travelers, time slips, required inspections, and appropriate paperwork

•Performs other duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience

•Journeyman Tool & Die Certificate, Technical Degree preferred OR

•5+ years of demonstrated experience or equivalent in the CMM Inspection field

•Previous experience working with Aerospace pieces a plus.

Qualifications & Skills

•Extensive ability to read and interpret blueprints & mechanical drawings

•Proficient knowledge of GD & T, extensive knowledge preferred

•Extensive ability to operate CMM machining equipment

•Extensive ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment •Extensive ability to solve problems using critical thinking skills

•Extensive ability to organize and manage priorities, meet deadlines, and expectations

•Extensive ability to measure/inspect lengths, diameters, straightness, or flatness

•Self-confident with strong qualitative, analytical, and mathematical skills

•Ability to operate a forklift with training
