We have an opening for an experienced Maintenance Manager.

Responsibilities will include managing day-to-day shop operations, overseeing all repair work scheduling, and supervising a staff of technicians and support personnel. Candidate must have hands-on experience with multiple makes/models of heavy trucks and equipment.

Responsibilities

  • In charge of the maintenance and repair of company-owned trucks and equipment
  • Schedule, organize, and supervise all daily activities of the maintenance staff, which includes 5 mechanics, a part manager, and a shop labor/parts runner
  • Utilize equipment maintenance software (FleetSoft) to organize the fleet and manage repairs and parts inventory. Maintain accurate equipment, work orders, and parts tracking records in the company software system
  • Establishes and monitors preventative maintenance schedules on trucks and equipment
  • Inspects vehicles or equipment to ensure compliance with the DOT/OSHA regulations, rules, and standards
  • Inspect vehicles & equipment for evidence of mechanical malfunction, damage, or wear and develop a plan to repair
  • Ensures the maintenance shop is properly maintained, functional, and clean
  • Reviews verifies and approves maintenance mechanics' time sheets daily
  • Inspect repairs to vehicles and equipment to ensure that work was done correctly
  • Maintain a safe work environment by following and enforcing company policy and safety guidelines
  • Procure parts and manage parts purchases and expenses. Maintain an appropriate inventory for maintenance and repair
  • Work with outsource shops and dealers to ensure appropriate repair costs and solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

  • Five or more years experience in overseeing fleet maintenance or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of tools, procedures, technical skills, and safety rules used in the maintenance and repair of heavy-duty trucks and equipment.
  • Technology skills, including the use of fleet electronic diagnostic software, tools, and equipment.
  • Previous experience using electronic fleet management software systems.
  • Must have knowledge of Federal and State regulations, including EPA and OSHA requirements related to the shop and maintenance functions.
  • Must make sure staff utilizes all safety equipment
