Consultant - Capital Campaign (Case for Support Writer)

Job Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Consultant to assist us in putting passion into our case for support for the capital campaign. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in developing persuasive and heartfelt narratives for fundraising purposes. You will be responsible for synthesizing existing pre-work and data into a cohesive, compelling, and emotionally resonant document that will inspire donors to contribute to our cause. You will also coordinate with graphic designers and other stakeholders from the project’s inception to the completion of the final product. This is a remote position that may require occasional in-person meetings.
Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze pre-existing materials and data relevant to the capital campaign.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand the campaign’s vision, goals, and unique selling points.
- Develop a clear, concise, and compelling case for support that effectively communicates the importance and impact of the campaign.
- Infuse the document with emotional appeal to connect with potential donors on a personal level.
- Ensure the case for support aligns with the organization’s mission, values, and strategic objectives.
- Incorporate feedback from stakeholders and make necessary revisions to the document
- Oversee development of materials through production including graphic design
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in writing cases for support, grant proposals or similar fundraising documents.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
- Ability to synthesize complex information into a clear and engaging narrative.
- Strong understanding of fundraising principles and donor psychology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with Temple Sinai, Reform Judaism, Jewish community, or faith-based fundraising – a plus.
