The Escrow Assistant will assist with a variety of customer service and administrative duties related to receiving and reviewing escrow account reconciliations and reviewing the accounting records. Some of the primary responsibilities of this position are preparing and filing of the reconciliations, creating and sending daily escrow reports, ordering wire transfers and/or check requests, confirming all monthly transfer reports are run timely, disbursement of escrow funds, receiving and processing of invoices, administering escrow accounts, processing check deposits, processing internal fund transfers, communicate identified deficiencies for corrections, coordinate monthly securitization documents, prep and electronically record legal documents all within department turnaround standards and with a high level of accuracy. All must be in accordance with State/Federal regulatory guidelines, SOX & PII compliance as well as business standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND TASKS:

  • Balance and disburse escrow accounts and prepare and distribute daily escrow reports. Communicate deficiencies to management and internal customers. Track and issue title policy numbers to allow creation of owner/lender polices. Reconcile title databases with HICV systems. Responsible for the preparation and execution of the monthly securitization documents. Ensure County and State recording requirements are adhered to.
  • Provide administrative support to Management to assist with escrow related tasks, external audits, and reports. Maintain integrity of data in multiple tracking structures along with meeting and/or exceeding published timelines/deadlines. Successfully navigate all HIVC systems. Confirms reporting is accurate and adjust/amend as needed.
  • Assist other disciplines within the team to provide support and backup as needed.
  • Performs administrative functions when required such as copying, filing, sorting and scanning.

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • Ability to organize and analyze data.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to accurately type 50 wpm.
  • Ability to communicate, both orally and in writing.
  • 3+ years Accounting, Escrow and/or Title related
  • Associate Degree
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
