POSITION OVERVIEW


At Allmark Door, we are looking for an enthusiastic Service Assistant Technician to support our team with administrative and technical tasks. As a technical assistant, you will be required to perform basic administrative tasks including filing, composing emails, printing documents, scheduling meetings, answering phones, and creating reports. You will also be required to provide basic technical assistance such as the setting up and cleaning of equipment, setting parameters, checking doses, and overseeing onsite processes.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Assisting with completion of service tickets

  • Updating and correcting details of work performed, and parts used.

  • Provide accurate details and reports on parts and services needed.

  • Analyze and respond professionally to customer concerns and annotate them in our internal system.

  • Performing preventive maintenance and repair services of all types on commercial doors.

  • Troubleshooting and diagnosing problems onsite.

  • Assist with completion of project tickets with field notes and completion photos.

  • Organize tools and parts at job site and on trucks.

  • Disassemble or remove parts and equipment for maintenance or repair.

  • Install hardware or other interior fixtures.

  • Run wiring to connect equipment.

  • Lubricate equipment to allow proper functioning.

  • Test mechanical equipment to ensure its functioning properly and adjust equipment to ensure optimal performance.

  • Observe and adhere to all safety policies and identify and report unsafe work practices or conditions.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

  • Must be able to walk and stand on level and/or inclined surfaces for certain periods throughout the day.

  • Must be able to climb stairs, ramps, ladders, and work stands.

  • Must be able to crouch, crawl, grasp or handle objects, use finger dexterity, bend elbow/knee and reach above/below shoulders.

  • May be required to lift, up to 50 pounds and carry for short distances.

  • Has the ability to work in cold and hot weather.

  • May need to travel to remote locations or work out of town.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Valid Driver’s License

  • High School Diploma/GED

  • Allmark Door maintains a drug-free workplace and perform post offer, pre-employment substance abuse testing and participate in a random drug testing pool.
