Pediatric NP

Joliet Area Community Hospice is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner.  We have a state-of-the-art facility and the first free standing in-patient Hospice Home in Illinois.  Joliet Area Community Hospice is a non-profit organization serving Will, Grundy, Kendall, LaSalle, Livingston, Southern Cook , Southern DuPage and a portion of Kankakee counties.  We have over a 35 year history for providing compassionate professional care to terminally ill patients and their families.  We are state licensed and Medicare/Medicaid certified. 

We currently have a Registry position for a Nurse Practitioner for our Pediatric program.   Within regulatory guidelines and in collaboration with our Medical Director, the Nurse Practitioner prescribes medications and may conduct face to face visits. The Nurse Practitioner will assist with covering for Physician time off approximately 1 week per month minimum.  

 Qualified candidates should have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in palliative care, hospice, oncology or critical care in a pediatric setting.  Hospice experience highly desired.    Requires completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.  State licensure required.
