Job DescriptionJob DescriptionThe Testing Lab supervisor supervises the calibration, maintenance and repairs of equipment or instruments used to measure and monitor properties or conditions of industrial products and environments. Oversees and performs routine inspections and testing to ensure conformance to established calibrations standards.

Essential Functions:
  • Supervise calibration department staff. Planning, organizing, and monitoring calibration assignments and ensuring work expectations for scope, schedule, cost, and responsiveness.
  • Complete projects and special assignments in a timely manner by establishing objectives, determining priorities, managing time, and gaining cooperation of other co-workers, problems solving and adjusting plans.
  • Workflow/priority management.
  • Coordinate the training of technical staff.
  • Develop new test procedures, establish template calibration certificates, and implement the control of all documents as part of the QMS.
  • Develop a master list of all calibration equipment necessary for standard calibration station.
  • Proficiency testing.
Skills:
  • Bachelor / master’s degree in chemistry, Environmental Sciences, Materials Management or Mechanical Engineering
  • 5 or + years of experience in Validation Procedures, Protocols and Tests
  • Fully Bilingual
  • 3 to 5 years of experience with Equipment Calibration, Service and Installation Procedures
  • 5 years of experience implementing Quality Programs and Procedures
  • 5 years of experience auditing equipment installations or services
  • Experience with benchmarking and best practices
  • General knowledge of Federal / Local regulations and documentation
  • General knowledge of water cycle
  • 3 to 5 years of experience with procurement processes and documentation
  • Ability to identify root causes and possible solutions, reporting and presentations
Preferred Qualifications:
•Lean Six Sigma Certifications (Green / Black Belt)
•Experience with Vendors Balanced Scorecard
•Experience with Test Benches and Protocols
