About Us:
At Methodist Home for Children, our Juvenile Assessment & Crisis Centers serve boys and girls with histories of mental illness, neglect, trauma, or substance abuse. Referred by juvenile court counselors, youth stay with us for 14 to 30 days for comprehensive testing and observation under the supervision of a licensed psychologist and clinical case managers. They leave with a personalized care plan that highlights their strengths, areas of focus, goals, and community services that can support their ongoing development.
Job Description:
We are seeking a licensed Psychologist to provide clinical oversight for assigned cases at our Center in Winston-Salem, NC. This is a full-time opportunity to make a profound impact on the lives of youth in need.
Responsibilities:
- Administer the Assessment Center program in alignment with the Agency's mission, ensuring integrity and consistency in service provision.
- Design and support the implementation of Assessment Center protocols.
- Provide and oversee psychological testing for clients.
- Ensure appropriate assessments are completed for individuals served.
- Identify and implement best practice protocols as appropriate.
- Monitor operational, service, and personal outcomes.
- Communicate with Court Services staff regarding individual cases.
- Collaborate with other licensed psychologists in consultation, research, and potential publications.
- Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Assessment Services.
Qualifications:
- Doctorate Degree in Psychology.
- Current license with NC Psychology Board.
- Full-time, direct service provision experience in diagnosing, treating, and evaluating treatment effectiveness for the client population served.
- Advanced writing and editing skills, with strong verbal communication and presentation abilities.
- Willingness to learn and support research projects.
- Ability to oversee and direct master's level clinicians.
