About the Job:

The Compliance Auditor reports to the Senior Compliance Specialist. The Compliance Auditor will be responsible for reviewing all resident files for National CORE.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review, complete and ensure all move-in files are reviewed within 24 hours.
  • Review, complete and ensure all annual recertification files within 72 hours.
  • Assist the Compliance Specialist with lease up's and onsite file reviews as needed.
  • Must be able to work some weekends and extended hours as needed.
  • Attend company sponsored events that relate to the development of the team, which from time to time may include overnight stays at locations away from the employee's home.
  • Must attend seminars, trainings and workshops related to compliance.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have working knowledge of Windows, Office 2000, Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Must have working knowledge of LIHTC, HUD and HOME.
  • Possess a high attention to detail to conduct file audits onsite and remotely.
  • Must be able to prioritize.
  • Must be able to work some weekends and extended hours.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Comprehend and follow instructions.
  • Be at team player.

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

  • Must have 2-5 years previous experience in affordable housing compliance or affordable property management.
  • Must be able to pass the Tax Credit and COS certification within 1 year of being hired.
  • Yardi experience a plus.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Operate computer and office equipment.
  • Work is primarily sedentary in nature.
  • Driving
