About the role
The IT Director is responsible for the day-to-day management of the bank’s IT infrastructure, systems, and services. This role oversees a team of system and IT administrators, including the oversight of the help desk function. This role will manage the implementation of new IT systems and policies and will collaborate with the marketing and operations teams to support our growth strategy.
Position is located in Sioux Falls and is not a remote position.
What you will do
- Responsible for the implementation and maintenance of the company’s IT Infrastructure, including networks, servers, storage, telephone, and cloud services.
- Leads a team of System Administrators and IT (Help Desk) Administrators to ensure end user satisfaction and project deadlines are met.
- Establishes and monitors staff performance and development goals including assigning responsibilities and setting objectives and priorities.
- Assists with the management of Fiserv banking products, including updates, patches, and vendor management.
- Establishes and coordinates risk management procedures, continuity scenarios, and contingency plans, ensuring Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery measures are in place.
- Monitors, manages, and maintains the activity of cloud environments (Azure).
- Recommends and develops IT policies, procedures, and protocols to streamline functions.
- Acts as a lead for IT projects, including software installations, implementations, upgrades, and migrations.
- Assists in developing long-term strategies and capacity planning to meet the future technology needs of the banks.
- Collaborates with key business units across the organization to create efficiencies and mitigate potential risks.
- Other duties as assigned.
What you will need
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or related field required.
- 8+ years of experience in IT, with a preference given to those with a banking background.
- 3+ years in a leadership role overseeing a diverse team of IT professionals.
- Strong technical background with expertise in infrastructure, security, and cloud technologies.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience working in the banking industry strongly preferred, specifically experience with Fiserv products such as Premier and Navigator.
