Position Overview: We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Test Technician to join our team in Bellwood, IL. The Test Technician will primarily be responsible for utilizing lasers of various wavelengths to assess the diffraction efficiency of our acousto-optic devices. In addition to conducting tests, the ideal candidate should be proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel and Word) for reporting test results. Safety adherence while handling lasers is paramount in this role, and the candidate must demonstrate strict compliance with safety protocols. This position offers opportunities for internal promotions based on performance.


Key Responsibilities:


  1. Conduct tests on acousto-optic devices using lasers of various wavelengths to evaluate diffraction efficiency.
  2. Utilize Microsoft Office applications (Excel and Word) to accurately report test results and maintain documentation.
  3. Adhere strictly to safety protocols for handling lasers and ensure a safe working environment.
  4. Record and analyze test data meticulously, ensuring accuracy and reliability.

Qualifications:
  1. High school diploma or equivalent. Associate degree in a relevant field preferred.
  2. Prior experience working with lasers and optical testing equipment is advantageous.

  4. Strong commitment to following safety protocols and procedures, especially in laser usage.
  5. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in conducting tests and recording data.

  7. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
  8. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
