Responsibilities
  • Providing exceptional service and protection for the residents and personnel of the community
  • Performing essential functions and possessing detailed knowledge of community policies and procedures as they pertain to the accessibility of the property
  • Being responsible for monitoring all areas of the community in order to ensure a positive and secure environment for residents, guests, and management
  • These areas include but are not limited to leasing office, club house, pool area, dog park, interior entrances, garage entrances, and other specific checkpoints in accordance with community policy
  • Maintain and deliver inspection of all areas of the community for safety and fire hazards as well as performing weekly light checks
  • Document findings and notify appropriate personnel as needed
  • Inspect secured areas to ensure all doors are appropriately locked/unlocked (including any buildings and common area amenities)
  • Respond to all fire alarms
  • Contain fire until fire department arrives and assist department with moving residents requiring assistance or controlling crowds
  • Respond to all emergency situations in order to resolve any incident which could potentially harm residents, guests, and personnel
  • Call for outside assistance as needed
  • Monitor parking practices of residents and guests to ensure compliance with policies and procedures
  • Escort residents and management staff safely to vehicles as requested
  • Provide assistance to individuals having vehicular problems (e.g. dead batteries, flat tires, etc.)
  • Monitor and promote compliance with community policies such as solicitation, smoking and visiting hours in accordance with community policy
  • Timely and accurately document all incidents and emergencies in departmental log
  • Detect, correct and/or report situations that have a possibility of causing accidents or injuries to residents, guests, or others
  • Maintain compliance with all federal and state laws
  • Maintain compliance with all agency regulatory guidelines and requirements
  • Work successfully as part of a team and responsible for developing then maintaining strong working relationships with residents
  • Attend and participate in staff meetings, committee meetings and training as required
