Chris Christensen Systems, LLC, part of Nexus Brands Group's Pet Group, is a leader in the dog show and grooming industries that manufactures a variety of products for show enthusiasts and professional groomers including shampoos, conditioners, odor control products, styling products, and more. We have a wide variety of products, with over 425 SKUs, 70% of which are manufactured within our warehouse located in Fairfield, Texas. We are seeking a hard-working, detail oriented, self-starter to add to our warehouse family.

Position Overview

Chemical batchers compound chemicals following specific formulations to create finished products for bottling & packaging. They operate and maintain compounding equipment such as large mixing kettles and work with other team members to meet weekly production goals.

What you’ll be doing: 

  • Review batch specifications for finished products and identify, gather and weigh all necessary raw chemicals required to make various products

  • Accurately identify over 200 different chemical names and their respective abbreviations

  • Properly wash empty drums (approx. 20 lbs. when empty), as needed to prep for re-fill

  • Perform clean up duties following each batch process

  • Clean batching kettles in between product batches

  • Safely lift and maneuver drums at full capacity (400 – 500 lbs.) using dollies and pallet jacks

  • Follow workplace safety policies and guidelines

  • Perform other duties and responsibilities that are reasonable and consistent with such positions as assigned

  • Any other duties needed to help drive to our Vision, fulfill our Mission, and abide by our Company’s values

Is this role for you?

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.

  • Must be able to provide steel-toed shoes to comply with safety regulations.

  • Must be able to pass drug test 

  • Must be able to work under adverse, indoor climate conditions.

  • Must demonstrate strong attention to details

  • Must maintain a safe and clean work area.

  • Must be able to work M-TH from 6 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (Friday’s as assigned) and during excessive heat season, M-TH from 4 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. (Friday’s as assigned)
